Cotton rag paper is the perfect example of handmade tree-free, upcycled and recycled paper. As a natural product, cotton is completely biodegradable. Cotton bits, usually the by-products of manufactured cotton cloth, are color sorted, chopped, and pulverized then mixed with water and laid out to dry. The process takes about three days.

The sage green envelope paired with this blank card makes a lovely, eco-friendly set for any occasion. I appreciate the tree-free cotton rag paper—it's sturdy and has a beautiful, textured feel. This A1 size is perfect for a short, personal note.

The cotton rag paper feels noticeably thicker and softer than regular cardstock, and the blank inside gave me room to write a proper note instead of squeezing it in. The sage envelope is a nice touch too.

The size is smaller than a standard card but that's exactly why I like it, fits perfectly in a gift bag without taking over. Tree-free paper and a recycled envelope is a nice touch for something so simple.
